Why buy art?

23-03-2017

You hear it more and more, people who have bought a work of art from an artist they absolutely love. But why do people actually buy art? And what good is it?

Art reflects your personality in your home
Let's start with the most important question: why buy art anyway? First, because art makes your home personal and stylish. By buying art that you like, you show your character in your home, which gives a nice feeling. Art can really make the difference between a house and a home.

Art stimulates your creativity and prevents stress
Art is also an important source of inspiration. By looking at art a lot and enjoying it, you stimulate your own brain and creativity. It has even been proven that looking at art reduces stress and can prevent depression. These reasons also ensure that more and more companies buy original art and hang it in the workplace.

Buying art is the way to add color to your interior
Finally, buying art can also be the way to add color to your interior. Many people want a little more color in their interior. But a whole wall or floor in color can be a big step. You solve that problem by hanging or placing a colorful work of art.

On the right you can see what a work of art can do for an interior!

Value enhancement art
Buying art can also be a smart investment. Art can very well increase in value while you own it. Perhaps the artist you bought it from has become much more famous in the meantime and prices have gone up. (My paintings today are more expensive than those of 25 years ago. Because of my name recognition, but also because of the better materials I use now.) Or maybe the artist has even passed away and can no longer make art. This increases the value of his/her existing works of art. For example, you may buy art and resell it at a profit after a certain period of time.

Do you want to know more about buying art? Or maybe you want to buy one of my artworks? Then I'd love to hear from you.

Creative greetings,
Susan
