On Friday morning artist Susan Ruiter put flags in dog turds through the entire city centre to draw attention to her exhibition 'It is raining cats and dogs'.

The gallery of Susan Ruiter is located on the Hoogstraat in the centre of Vlaardingen. Starting this friday night the theme exhibition 'It is raining cats and dogs' can be seen here. For the exhibition, 8 artists, including Susan herself, created works of art with cats and dogs. The artwork ranges from realistic and figurative paintings, to bronze and ceramic sculptures.

On Friday March 9th the festive opening of this exhibition will take place. Where everyone is warmly welcomed with a snack and a drink. In order to draw attention to this, the artist has thought of something funny. In those annoying dog turds in the street, flags now adorn the text: "Want a pet, but not the burdens? Visit the cats / dogs expo in gallery Susan Ruiter ".

People who can not come to the gallery on Friday evening have until the end of June to visit the exhibition. This can be done on Thursday - Saturday from 11:00 to 17:00, or by appointment.
